The Setting
A home nestled,
 among trees.
Windows spaced,
 throughout.
Sunrise exploding,
 across the valley.
Sunset escaping,
 behind the ridge.
Distant sound,
 of cargo trains.
A songbird to,
 greet the morning,
 and challenge a,
 whistle.
Meandering cows,
 tipping their heads,
 for a blade of grass,
 and a moo,
 to onlookers.
Spring awakening,
 with splashes,
 of color.
Woodpeckers,
 hammering away.
My world,
 quiet,calm,
 thoughtful,
 inspiring.
