Resolve To Be You

Kindness,I shall pass through this world but once.If,therefore,there be any kindness I can show,or any good thing I can do,let me not defer it or neglect it,for I shall not pass this way again.I did not write these words,but I applaud the author.Daily, they remind me how simple life is.Kindness is bestowed,by everyone, on a daily basis.Most don't recognize it,with our hectic lifes,but it is there.From a thank you,a door held open,or a smile.Know the feeling,and hold on to it.Everyone has a resolution in them,to make each day count.

As the fallling snow ends its descent,the glistening of white bestows its wonder,as does this night.Treasure remembered memories,and toast to all the new.Merry Christmas.

As the clock turns,beyond this date,the light will shine a little longer.

Obvious

As you take different paths,this week,don't forget to look beyond the obvious.How the trees have parted,for a better glimpse of hidden sights.Birds abundant,along electric wires.Eagles high on the tallest limb,or the owl,whose hoot is heard on quiet nights,becomes visible by day,to capture your eye.The rush of us,is always inside,but these sights,disappear with time.

Extra

The holidays bring lots of extras.A lot of you might think in the negative,but try thinking in the positive.Extra lights down roads traveled,that otherwise would be dark and a little unnerving.Food banks, filled from generous donations,are able to give to families otherwise turned away.Making time,from a busy schedule,for a conversation on the phone,or in person.Picking out special cards,and writing a letter inside.Updating photos.Families and friends eating around a table together.A season of giving,true,but definitely a season of extras.
